Crimson Ledger

Created in 3DSMax, ported to Zbrush to add details and finally textured in 2K in Substance Painter. The golden mark was created in Illustrator and then applied as an Alpha map in Zbrush.

Crimson Ledgers are given to the Scribes of Zima when they leave the city for their pilgrimage. Each ledger is different in size and design, the cover is made out of leather and then dyed red with the use of red colored leaves of Rubrum trees that grow mostly exclusively in the Zima region. Every scribe is also granted with a different mark that is being engraved in the leather, so that in case the ledger is lost or the owner perishes on their travels, it will always be known to whom the ledger originally belonged to. Usually a red heart shaped leaf stuck inside between the pages can be found inside. It is being used as a bookmark, but also it is a memento that reminds one of home.
